About Madzander

Artist

Madzander.com is the workspace of Minnesota based artist and educator David M. Pliska. I have been painting for over twenty years. I am interested in the play between color and shape and how these interact on the canvas. I am also interested in exploring the tension between intellectual understanding and the emotion that the painting conveys.

Educator

I have been an educator working in public schools for over 30 years. I have taught Full-day Kindergarten, Half-day Kindergarten, K-1 Multiage, First Grade, and Second Grade. Currently, I am teaching Second Grade.

Education

My undergrad degree is in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin Stout. My Masters degree is in Instructional Systems and Technology with a concentration in multimedia and computer based instruction from the University of Minnesota. My resume is available upon request.
